| First, I learned how burnt the paint on my hood is
Then I learned that there is a large dent in the hood
Although I already knew that the adhesive that binds the steel frame to the aluminum hood was burned away

Then I saw how bad the burns are on the driver's side fender
Which was caused by fire following the wiring harnesses while destroying my master cylinders

I assume that my starter relay and whatever else resides in that fender is toast. My windshield is also a write-off
But if I look at the car from this angle, everything looks fine.
My wife is probably getting a job at Aflac, so if that happens, the recovery process will be accelerated. I contemplated a CF hood to replace the one I have, which will take a lot of work (and skill I probably do not posses) to restore. But then I imagined what a conflagration I would have had if I had a CF hood when the fire happened- closing my hood prevented the fire from spreading rapidly before the FD arrived to put it out. My question is: does anyone know where I can find one, new or used (mint condition)?
